Watership Down by Richard Adams is one of my all time favourite books. It inspired me to create this illustration which portrays Fiver’s vision of a field covered with blood, Lord Frith the sun, and the foreboding ghost of the Black Rabbit of Inlé floating amongst the woundwort.
In 2019 I also launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a set of pins inspired by Watership Down, including my portrayal of El-ahrairah who was originally supposed to be included in the main illustration. As the project progressed I was also able to add two new designs, General Woundwort and Bigwig!
