A Powerful Leap

“You’ve been feeling tired,” said the stranger, “but I can do something about that.”

My illustration “A Powerful Leap” is inspired by Watership Down by Richard Adams. It depicts an emotional scene from the epilogue where El-ahrairah invites Hazel to join his Owlsa. I aimed to illustrate Hazel’s sense of his strength and speed flowing into his friends and descendants as he takes a powerful leap into the afterlife.

Thanks so much to Peter for commissioning this artwork as a tribute to his father, Bill Brown. In his memory I’ll be donating £2 from the sale of each print to the Alzheimer’s Society.
